Theatre Games & Storytelling
Get creative with acting out your ownstories, making speeches, telling jokes, and playing theatre games. This is agroup for you if you love holding a microphone and sharing your voice, yourhumor, your ideas, and your stories. Let’s get together and give each other thespotlight! This class is designed to work on communication skills,social-emotional skills, and to of course have fun!
Taught by Val Walker, who has 23 year’sexperience in the social services field as a counselor, group facilitator andactivities specialist. She has a MS in Rehabilitation Counseling and a BA inTheatre. In our first class, we’ll tell each other a little about ourselves andintroduce each other. We share stories about where we grew up and went toschool and made our first friends. We talk about our interests and favoritethings. We play theatre games and do fun team building activities to jointogether as a group.
Today we have a blast with things that make us laugh. We tell jokes and riddles, guessing
games, play with funny props, and use comedy with our voices, movements, and props. We will
use a microphone and become a stand-up comedian!
Individuals coming with a 1:1 are welcometo attend.
$65 per person
BILT intake and consents must becompleted prior to individuals being dropped off alone.
Please note that all social event willhave pictures taken and shared with others as some photos are used forfundraising and advocacy purposes.
In the event of weather not working inour favor we will make an alternative plan involving exercise or walk indoors.
